take YOUR time

A few days ago, I talked to a very dear friend of mine.
She was feeling sad and exhausted.
Being overloaded with everything that was around her, trying to please all the people who wanted something from her..
Realisisng that it was just too much for her to handle, that she had no space to breath..

I think many of us feel like this, some more often than others maybe..
But how can we cope with all the roles we are expected to play, all the needs people want us to fulfill if we ourselfs are empty and exhausted?
How to care about others if you don't even know how to care for yourself?

Last semester was probably the most stressful semester I have ever experienced so far.. First I tried to do it all, to give 200% of my energy when suddenly I realised that there was simply no energy left!
Maybe others are stronger than me and maybe I could have worked harder.
But do I want that? Do I want to spend all my energy in studies and have no more energy left for myself? Some people make plans what they want to change in the new year, I don't.
But if there is something I realised, then it is the importance of time, high quality time spend with things that make me happy! Its not that i stopped being ambitious about my studies, I just realised that spending time with my family or with myself is so much more important than many other things!!!

Soooo, how did I turn my plan of spending more high quality time into action?
I will go to London for 5 days,
I will not attend 3 days of university to meet my lovely mother in Paris and I am just about to book a Day-Spa for my mothers birthday and right after doing that I will give some special beauty treatment to my self!
You see, it's all about high quality time!

People say everything is circling arout a center point.
But if there is no center point, nothing can circle around it!
So, please yourself first if you want to please others.

Diaper Cakes

I love all about babies and therefore its almost natural that I love baby showers as well. We don't celebrate baby showers in germany, but I have been on a baby shower in brazil at my neighbors house. And of course I remember the baby shower charlotte throu for miranda in sex and the city!!!
Soooo first time I was introduced to a diaper cake was at sex in the city, first time I was introduced to a diaper cake in real live was at my mosque!!! hehehee...

Here are two "how to's" from youtube... the first video is better in terms of quality but I prefer the second cake with the baby powder and stuff inside! I also heared that you could insert baby socks or other little goddies for mommy and baby and I really like that idea!!

I cant waite for a baby shower to happen or at least for baby to come so that I can make one on my own ;)

hmmm I think thats sad!

I guess I just found one of the youngest "youtube make-up tutorial makers" ever!
This girl looks like maximum 12 years old!!!!
Hmmm and there is not so much to say about that.. but it makes me kinda sad to see that sweety.. shouldnt she be playing with her favorite barbie or something like that?

Well, I love make-up too... but to see that little girl with make-up is like seeing her walking through the streets with suspender stockings..
It just seems totally wrong, even a bit pedophile I might ought to say..

Ohhh speaking of that, it actually happened to me!I was walking through the streets in Dortmund when we saw a girl who was maximum 14 years old wearing a mini-mini skirt matched with suspender stockings!!!!

Hmmm... very sad somehow...
This also reminds me of one thing Bilal Phillips said in one of his lectures... he said that here in the west its always all about sex, we learn in the school how to not get pregnant, we learn in the BRAVO how it is to loose his/hers virginity, we see on MTV documentarys about small girls and how they plan to loose their virginity, we learn in magazines like Cosmopolitan how to give blow jobs and seduce our men everytime in a different, more exciting way...
Were ever we are we are thought to do our best to look sexy, which bra will push your breast to a maximum, which jeans will make your behind appear the most sexy etc.
So isn't it then just normal that these small girls try to act like they are thought to? They learn that beeing sexy is something essential to be and that you should proove to the public how good you can seduce.

I remember when I was in high school a friend of ine had a time when she always was wearing extremely short skirts, when she was sitting everybody could see her panties and she was very aware of that! But she wanted it like that, she wanted to seduce and to see how man would react to her, maybe if they would think that she was sexy enough?

We western ladies are thought that we define us through our sexieness, to our ability to seduce...
Virginity in the western world is something bad, something we want to loose as fast as we can. Because beeing virgin somehow means that you havent been able yet to seduce, so there must be something wrong with you...
I remember when a other friend of mine lost her virginity, she came to school very happy, telling (almost) everyone how proud she was that now she was no longer an "old virgin"... she was only 13 at that time!!!

Well.. I know what I just said is far away from the youtuber topic but I still think its somehow related to eachother..
And I think it is extremely sad!!!

Via Uno

Via Uno is a brazilian brand I am passionately in love with since I bought my first pair of Via Uno shoes 2003 in Brazil. I still own, love and wear those first pieces of treasure..
Via Uno is high quality that will last you years.. in my case it lasts since 7 years!!!

Via Uno has not only shoes but also matching purses, belts, wallets, jewelery and all kind of other accessories.. altough I like quite some of the pieces I have to admit that I dont own a single one..

But the shoes I really love and I am extremely willing to invest in a pair of Via Unos whenever I have the chance to come across a Via Uno store which is unfortunately extremely rare..

The ability to listen
is what makes you learn

You cannot always be
just as your personality is

Unfortunately many people have ambitions just for them selfs, but not for those who are around them or will come after them.

Every year, half a million people in germany leave the middle class and become poor.

(very wise words from my professor of processus of management, Andrew Killinger)

WHITE

White.. or crème, ecru, offwhite, rosé, shell... love them all!
I think these are my favorite clothing colours ever... too sad I don't have so many pieces in that colours though ;)

I own this jacket, I got it few days a go for 50% less, thanks so french sales-season.
And I would like to mention that on me it looks much more elegant :)

I do not like to wear long skirts so much.. but this is defenitively very very beautyful..
I also dont like this kind of light colours for pants/skirts etc.

Oh my god how do i love this bag!!!!

Did I mention how much I love that bag???

Hmmmm.. if I would not be muslim and cover outside my home and in front of strange men (hehhehe too many strange men out there!) I would probably look like that lady.. Or at least I would like to look like her hhehhee

wanna look like an east-european???

I just came across these pieces from mango... I didnt know that mango was now concentrating on the eastern-european/russian/polish/czech customers ;)
hehehee..
Its not that I am racist or dont like them or what so ever..
But these clothes just seem to scream:

RUSSIA
POLAND
CZECH REPUBLIC

Well, our last piece of treasure here seams to scream only czech republic though hehehee..

don't get me wrong... just having fun with stereotypes here ;)

Abaya Heaven..

I was always wondering were Abayas come from.. and I mean the happy, lovely and amazing ones, not the Abayat that look old and cheap, but the ones that can win your heart in one touch and sight.. the ones that are simple, soft, classy, elegant and covering..
in other words: all I long for in an outergarment!

I had the luck to get to know their home and to discover the Abaya heaven...

Just in case you ever wondered how the Abaya heaven is called... its called SunnahStyle.. could there be any name more appropriate then that?
Hmmm and how does the Abaya heaven feels?
Just let me say: silky, soft and smooth...

This one above is my first baby.. or may I better say angel?
She is called black satin sleeved butterfly...
I have it since exactly one year and im in love like at the first day!

Since I liked the style of the sleeved butterfly so much I couldn't resist to buy this darling..
Ruched Satin Sleeved Butterfly.. Music to my ears heheh

This girl is called Zahra.. and she has the most practical cut and the most wonderful dreamy-romantic embroidery..

Hmmmmmm what can I say...
Silk elegance is her name and in this case it is just sooo true!
When I wear her, somehow I cannot stop touching myself hehehehe
it feels really really amazing!!!
ohh.. and the tassle at the sleeves are very cuteee!

Well.. thats the last for today but for me definitively the first.. the queen of my heart!
Silk Elegance Full Butterfly..
I am wondering wheater it is permissible to wear this 24/7, preferably on naked skin?
Feels amazing amazing amazing!!!!

Usually I make my Abayas myself.. but it is hard to find good fabric that is floating and not see-trough and then it takes time and a sewing machine, two things I dont have at the moment. Last time I bought an Abaya in Paris, together with "ma robe de Paris".. it is pretty nice and has the about the same price as the ones from SunnahStyle which is usually under 40€ but the quality of fabric and sewing is not at all comparable with SunnahStyle..
Sooo... that means that as long as I can I will always return to the Abaya Heaven to visit all the lovely angels there and see if I can take one of them home with me... So basicly its like having a piece of heaven at home..

Les Huitres

Les Huitres..
Today after our coût et contrôle exam, Thi and I went to the old port to have lunch and relax a bit.. and for the first time we had huitres!!!
In the beginning we got very scared coz Thi Haos huitre was moving when she touched her!!!
So we thought she might still move in our mouth!!!

After first moments of scare it was actually pretty tasty!!!
It tastes like cucumber with salt!!!
It has a very refreshing taste but not really extraordinary and its consistency is not gellyish like I thought but more like the inside of cucumbers...

Would be a perfect thing to eat at the beach I can imagine!!!

lingerie... or: sexieness is for everyone?

Hmmm something very interesting I just found...
An german lingerie comercial using a completely veiled lady to attract attention.

Sexiness for everyone from Glow Berlin on Vimeo.

I think I dont like the commecrial..
or: I like the commercial but do not like the idea of men watching it...
the slogan is "sexieness for everyone" even for muslim ladies?
wow, who would have thought that even muslim ladies could be sexy..
didn't we learned that muslim ladies are only oppressed and dont care about their appearance at all coz anyways nobody will se them???
(when I was still at school a girl once came to me and asked why I did care about having nice hair. I didnt even have to have hair since nobody would see it anyways... ahaaaa.. sure!)
except maybe her husband but he will neglect her anyway and just use her as his maid..
aren't I right???

So, on one hand I like the commercial because for the first time it shows muslim women as ladies who are feminine and not as badly treated maids who only exist to serve their husbands and have millions of babies.
But on the other hand i dislike that this will only encrease the phantasies that some men already have about veiled women..
"from the outside she might appear all innocent but at home she goes crazy.."
In the same way I dont want men to see me in lingerie, i dont want them to imagin me wearing it.. and I dont think this commercial will reduce mens imagination...

Besides:
Usually it is a rule that the more you are covered, the more respect you get...
But I might to be wrong with that impression since once I was in a certain district of paris which was mostly arabic (and specially arabs should understand the concept of veiling). I was completely covered but treated as I would be strutting down the street with nothing more on my body then high heels and stockings!!!
Like they had never heared the word respect ever before..
I even had to cover my face to be treated with a minimum of decency!!

sooo.. talking about respect, male fantasies and sexieness... ;)

I am back - back home?

Im back in France..
and some how I feel like beeing back home as well.
I thought that I had been going home when I went to germany but I guess that thought turned out to be wrong.
I felt homeless and some how I still do.
I felt like swimming in a big sea with no ground under my feet, not knowing where the next wave would take me.. unstable maybe..
Sure I had nice days with even nicer people, being with my family and friends made me taste the warmth and comfort of being loved again...
But being home? No, I didn't felt like being home.

So.. back in France I still don't feel home.
But the routine I find here, back in my appartment, back at university, gives me stability again and lets me feel the ground under my feet.

So, please notice: routine makes me feel happy..
I guess I am really very german in that point!!!

But for me, the best thing of being back in France is defenitively that i have my Abaya back which makes me feel just so comfortable and protected. And that I have my own place I belong to, even if its just for a short time, its completely mine and I am completely welcome and cared of, simply because it is me who welcomes my self and takes care of myself and I am probably the best in doing that.

Happy New Year

Dreaming...
